The IJAB- project “Learning Mobility in Times of Climate Change (LEMOCC)” comes to an end. We would like to introduce to you the results of our events, research and discussions towards a climate-sensitive international youth work.
What is it about?
Over the course of two years, 18 organisations from the fields of international youth work and environmental protection from China, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Türkiye were involved in the project LEMOCC, working on the question how international youth work can be made more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The final conference will be an opportunity to get to know the 3 final project publications and to explore the possibilities of a climate-sensitive adaptation of international youth work. What can I do as an organizing party? What can I do as a funding organization? What is my role as a teamer?
This is going to be a methodologically diverse event. We will not only hear perspectives of participating youngsters as well as partner organizations and pitch the central outcomes, but also present a highly interesting opening talk on climate change by Prof. Dr. Philipp Schepelmann, Senior Researcher at the Wuppertal Institut for Climate, Environment and Energy.
The event will be facilitated by Neringa Tumėnaitė. Neringa is an expert on international cooperation and youth participation. She is also author of the EU youth partnership’s toolbox “Greening the Youth Sector: Sustainability Checklist”.
Whom would we like to welcome?
All those who are interested! In line with the diversity in the international youth work field, the work during the project has been multifocused. Therefore, we reach out to those active in the field, irrespective of their specific role.
