A platform for the voice of the young generation, it ensures that their policy recommendations and proposed solutions are incorporated into multilateral cooperation under the G7. Young delegates from 11 countries began debating a number of priority themes and drawing up recommendations in March.

Core recommendations of the Youth7 Communiqué:
- Inclusive, diverse and barrier-free youth participation worldwide
- Support for the German Presidency’s initiative to create a Climate Club, including an unequivocal commitment to the 1.5° targets
- More and better qualifications and skills to benefit socio-economic transformation, and science-informed policymaking
- Long-term strengthened communication and participation processes between civil society and policymakers at all levels of society
- Stronger resilient structures and capacities post-pandemic, especially in youth-relevant fields and in regard to young people’s mental health
- Recognition of young people’s contribution to peace and security and concrete measures to help implement the United Nations’ resolutions on Youth, Peace and Security at the national and international level.
IJAB, the International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany coordinates the Y7 Youth Dialogue 2022 in cooperation with the German National Committee for International Youth Work. Co-chairs Carolina Claus and Benjamin Günther are responsible for managing the Youth7 process and are supported in their role by eight volunteer coordinators. The Y7 Youth Dialogue 2022 is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
