LEMOCC: Recommendations for a climate-sensitive learning mobility
The global development of climate change has recently brought the discussion about the harmful effects of travelling on the climate to the fore. For young people, this topic impacts on their lives in different ways, including youth mobility. Consequently, youth work and youth mobility for learning purposes have been increasingly confronted by questions of environmental compatibility and sustainability. Not only can travelling be made more sustainable; youth exchanges, too, can apply sustainable principles through the implementation of the programmes themselves.
The project “Learning Mobility in Times of Climate Change” therefore explored how learning mobility can become more climate-sensitive.
These recommendations were developed as part of the project for policy- and decision-makers as well as for the international youth
work community of practice.
