Mobility Guide Training
Whether for a few days, weeks, months or even years, subsidised or self-financed, as part of training or during the holidays – there is a huge selection of programmes abroad that young people can take part in. However, this variety of options and offers also leads to disorientation and frustration for many young people.
This makes it all the more important for young people to have easy access to high-quality information and impartial, cross-agency advice from trusted individuals in their immediate environment. This is where Eurodesk's training courses come in.
Eurodesk offers two different training formats: the Mobility Advisor training course and the webinar on youth mobility.
Mobility advisor training
- Information and advice on mobility programmes
- Target group: Youth work professionals
- Online: 7 sessions of 2.5 hours each
- Offline: 2 days
The training is aimed at professionals who work with young people in a professional context in a non-profit institution/organisation in the UK (e.g. teachers, employees in counselling centres or youth centres, career counsellors, social workers, etc.). Freelancers and private individuals are not eligible to participate in the training. More information about the training can be found in this Flyer.
Webinar on youth mobility
- Overview of mobility programmes
- Target groups: Youth workers, young people, interested parties
- Online: 2 sessions of 3 hours each
The webinar provides an overview of the most important international youth mobility programmes. Both short-term and long-term stay options are presented. The focus is on subsidised programmes, but self-financed options are also mentioned. Programmes for gap years, holiday periods and training phases are explained. This makes it a little easier to navigate the ‘jungle’ of offers and understand them.
