Information on youth policy and youth work in Europe

YouthWiki

How do European countries shape their youth policy, and what impact does this have on young people? Which projects can serve as examples of good practice to be shared and developed further across Europe? YouthWiki provides the answers.

From volunteering, education, and employment to participation, health, and culture: YouthWiki illustrates how European countries design their youth policies—making them comparable, accessible, and consistently up-to-date. The platform also features interactive maps that offer a comparative overview of various thematic fields. Additionally, the regularly published YouthWiki Report provides in-depth analysis of key developments and focus areas.

Objectives and Structure The goal of the platform is to strengthen European cooperation in the youth sector and to support policy-making with reliable data and expert background knowledge. The information is researched and continuously updated by a network of national correspondents.

IJAB has been representing Germany within the YouthWiki network since 2015. Currently, 34 countries are involved in the further development of the platform (as of September 2025).

Management and Coordination The YouthWiki network is managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in close cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC).
