Offers for municipalities at IJAB and JUGEND für Europa
From 2011 to 2025, ‘Kommune goes International’ was the nationwide network in which experts and decision makers in International and European youth work at municipal level engaged in dialogue with representatives from the federal and state governments on current specialist topics. IJAB coordinated the network in cooperation with JUGEND für Europa, funded by the Federal Government's Child and Youth Plan (Kinder- und Jugendplan des Bundes).
IJAB and JUGEND für Europa also offered information, training and strategic advice on the development of international youth work in local political environments. Among other things, this resulted in a series of handouts. In many areas, the network was able to achieve a considerable impact, particularly in supporting young people who previously had little access to international youth work programmes.
After fourteen successful years, the project was terminated in spring 2025. However, IJAB and YOUTH for Europe are continuing their services for local authorities. The following services are available:
