IJAB and JUGEND für Europa cordially invite you to the Expert Forum "Youth Poverty – Potentials and Challenges of European and International Youth Work" on February 26, 2026, at their offices in Bonn.
This event is aimed at professionals, volunteers, and decision-makers from child and youth welfare services, politics, as well as employment agencies and job centers – in short: everyone interested in the topic who wants to advocate for young people.
Approximately one-quarter of children and young people in Europe are at risk of poverty. Against this background, the Expert Forum on February 26 will highlight the potential of European and International Youth Work for young people growing up under disadvantaged conditions. Research indicates that these individuals in particular benefit significantly from international youth work formats.
In addition to an introduction to the topic and an interactive panel with practitioners and experts, there will be fresh perspectives as well as time for networking and exchange.
