Accessibility Statement

Preamble

IJAB – International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany (registered association) aims to provide all citizens with the opportunity to find out about its work. Therefore, the organization designs its website to be largely accessible under the given conditions and utilizes all possibilities provided by the content management system used (TYPO3). Despite these efforts, IJAB cannot fully meet all accessibility requirements. We therefore ask all those who encounter such barriers for their understanding.

Accessibility Features of the Website

The IJAB website features the following "accessible properties":

Declaration of Accessibility

The IJAB website is essentially accessible. Fundamentally, the website is in compliance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council to provide accessible web access.

The basis for this accessibility statement is a self-assessment carried out by IJAB regarding the compatibility of the website with the requirements of the Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (BGG) in conjunction with the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0). The audit of PDF documents is not included. A representative selection of pages was tested, allowing conclusions to be drawn regarding the accessibility of the entire web presence.

However, the IJAB website also contains elements that are not or only partially accessible. Improvements are planned or underway in all areas where this is substantively and technically possible. For example, the following features on the website are not yet fully accessible:
